Blanca 1700-1800
Back in the Golden (18th) Century of Murcia Blanca began to recover its loss of the
population, moving from 700 inhabitants in 1713 to 1378 in 1786, according to
the Census Floridablanca. The present church dedicated to St. John the
Evangelist was rebuilt at the end of the seventeenth and the beginning of the
eighteenth century by the stonecutter brothers Lucas and Antonio de la Lastra.
The building was finished in 1717.
